Mural Fest Events

Mural Fest brings people together to celebrate South Salt Lake’s street art scene and the artistic flavor of the area. Our current events are listed below.

Wednesday, May 1

6-8 PM | PDQ (2200 S. Main St.)

Mural Talk is an “ask me anything” open panel discussion with some of the 2024 Mural Fest artists. Join us to meet the artists during a social session, and then hear from the artists as they answer your questions!

Special thanks to our moderator and host! Mural Talk will be moderated by Lara Jones form KRCL, and hosted at PDQ in Downtown SSL.

Mural Talk is free to attend but you must register to reserve your seat.

Saturday, May 4

4-8 PM | SSL Creative Industries Zone

All aboard! The 7th Annual Mural Fest will be the largest one yet, featuring 14 new murals by local and international artists. Marking the 10th anniversary of the UTA S-Line, some of the new murals are along the S-Line and Parley’s Trail. Take the self-guided tour along our mural route for an artist meet-and-greet and community celebration event.

Artist meet-and-greet and live music.

Meet the artist at each mural stop, along with musical entertainment. Disembark from your tour at our “celebration station” at 300 East along the S-Line to enjoy food trucks, live music, and an interactive mural experience.

Win prizes!

Print the Mural Fest Map or grab one before May 4 at South Salt Lake City Hall or during Mural Walk at the Info Booth at celebration station (300 E / S-Line). Visit all the new murals and get a sticker from the artist. Place the sticker on your Mural Fest Map next to the mural location. When you get all the stickers, drop off your map at the Info Booth at celebration station for your chance to win a prizes.

Art & Ale Trail

As you embark on the mural tour, stop by some of our fabulous Downtown SSL watering holes to refuel with food and drink. These five locations will be hosting special live mural art activities to check out during the Mural Walk.

There’s no better way to see the murals and speak with the artists than to walk or bike along the mural route. Take your time, enjoy the views, and meet some new friends.

If you don’t live within walking or biking distance, you can drive or ride UTA for free!

Do you want to drive? Free parking is available at the South Salt Lake City Hall (200 E Morris Ave). Here, you will meet Daas and this will be the start of your self-guided mural route.

Do you want to take UTA? Free UTA passes are available on a first come, first serve basis. Passes will be good for the full day on May 4. Use it to take a UTA Bus, Trax, or Front Runner to South Salt Lake. Disembark Trax at Central Pointe Station and hop on the S-Line to get to the murals. We recommend disembarking the S-Line at 500 East and starting your self-guided mural route from this point. But you have many options.

Grab your free UTA pass/es before May 4 at one of the below locations.
